This is a traditional French breakfast, which we call “Pancakes”, because they are caked in a pan. The base is buttermilk. The plan was to make them round, but “shit happens” (French expression). The Cobra lager was from the night before, (wasn’t mine - honest).
In the drawer, you can see the spatula which I should have used to turn them.
Got ambitious tonight since yesterday was a shopping extravaganza. We stopped at the Japanese market and I bought a stellar piece of salmon and some soba noodles. So I made a marinade with miso, sesame oil, soy sauce, mirin, ginger, green onion and garlic. Used a bit on the fish and then some more on some baby spinach (!!!) that went on top of the soba. I grilled the salmon on a grill pan. It was pretty kick-ass and I’ll have leftovers for lunch.
Oh yeah, I also had a head of yellow cauliflower (not broccoflower) so I roasted it with some olive oil, lemon, garlic and thyme.
This is a beef stirfry. It is accompanied by champagne, Cream Eggs, a keg of Heineken, a pack of Kleenex and some Fairtrade instant coffee. The photo is a photo of the LCD screen of my camera. It’s an Olympus E-510. It’s a digital SLR. No filter. Dannan.
Dinner! Tofu steak bento box with brown rice. Nom nom nom. I guess there is no need to sign these things since it is just us. If I didn’t eat it I will assume it is from you.
I didn’t take a picture, but it was whole wheat penne, a pouch of salmon and some frozen veggies. Which is why I posted the classic below.
